The truth is that exercise and dieting does generally work, but only if they are done together. You read so many articles claiming that dieting alone shifts all that added weight, but you will not receive the best benefits if you do not also take part in regular exercise too.

Eating healthily will certainly help your skin and help you lose a few pounds, but combined with exercise it does give you the best possible results as the exercise keeps you fit and healthy. Exercise also speeds up the process of weight loss and combined together they are by far the most effective way of losing those few extra pounds!

The Amount of Exercise You Need and the Best Diet to Follow
The amount of exercise that you generally need is 30 minutes at least, a day. This could include anything from walking to running, swimming to horse riding – it is basically down to personal preference as to which activity you choose to partake in.

As long as you enjoy what you are doing, you should notice that you stick to it and you will notice results fairly quickly. If you do not enjoy what you are doing, you will notice that you get bored easily and you will without a doubt, give up.

As for the best diet, it all depends upon your own personal preference. Usually the best diets are the ones which do not cut out any foods at all as the body needs a wide variety of foods to function properly.

You will usually find that with diets which cut various foods out, you may lose quite a lot of weight in a small amount of time, but in the long run the weight will actually come back on. So, you need to find a diet which balances everything rather than cutting things out, that way it is more of a lifestyle choice than a diet.

Overall the best exercise and diet management plan is one which is easy to follow and which is easy to achieve. You should never set yourself impossible targets and you should always try to avoid cutting any foods out of your diet.

If you stick to doing 30 minutes exercise a day you should notice pretty fast results. Or you can even just 10 minutes exercise if you cannot manage 30 at the beginning, it is better than doing nothing!
